RS

Founded in Italy in 1999 by two architects, Claudio Rebeschini and Andrea Schiavon, the architecture Firm R & S Engineering has, for 17 years, specialized in the restoration and rehabilitation of historical monuments with special attention to the twentieth-century architecture, throughout the Italy. This agency became known for projects such as the rehabilitation of the Palazzo Vescovile in Padua, in Veneto, conservation of the thermal complex of Montecatini in Tuscany, renovation on the Faculty of Technology of Triveneto of Padua (19th century), the Taverna Palace in Milan (18th century) and the conversion of the Palace of Monte di Pietà in Padua (16th century) in order to accommodate the headquarters of the Cassa Di Risparmio Bank and the Cariparo Foundation. From these rich and varied experiences in the conservation of heritage, including a methodological approach to management of the different stages involved in architectural production, as well as a thorough study of the social, architectural and technical history of monuments, the firm R & S Engineering applies these priorities to all their projects. Good restoration is the result of good historical research and R & S’s restoration projects reflect this as projects are regularly published (books, documentary films, exhibitions) often in close collaboration with partner universities. R & S Engineering regularly offers lectures and training in the field of rehabilitation and restoration of built heritage, including the courses connected with TPTI at the University of Padua.
