Joint degree

At the end of the course, students obtain a joint degree awarded by the University Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, the University of Padua and the University of Evora.

This Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s Degree has been integrated as an international branch of the pre-existing university degrees of the three degree-granting universities:

1) University Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne: Master Techniques, Heritage, Territories of Industry including history, didactic valuation ; empowered April 25, 20196, by the Ministry of Higher Education and Research within the framework of the current five-year contract;
2) University of Padua: Master in Historical Sciences, Class LM-84 ;  empowered by the decree of the Ministry D.M. 425 of April 24, 2018;
3) University of Evora: Master's Degree in Management and Valorization of Historical and Cultural Heritage in Evora University's Department of History ; registered by the DGES of Portugal, on October 6, 2022.

The EMJM TPTI course is recognized in all participating, partner and associated countries by a Consortium Agreement.

The Erasmus Mundus Master has a joint degree, which has been awarded since 2012, under the triple title: « Master Erasmus Mundus awarded in international partnership by the University Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne with the University of Evora and the University of Padua in Human and Social Sciences, with mention from TPTI »; « Mestrado emitido em parceria internacional pela Universidade de Evora com Universidade de Paris 1 Pantheon-Sorbonne e Universidade de Padua em Gestao and Valorizaçao do Patrimonio Historico e Cultural »; « Laurea Magistrale rilasciata in partnership internazionale dall'Università di Padova con l'Università di Paris 1 Pantheon-Sorbonne e Università di Evora in Tecniche, Patrimonio, Territori dell'Industria », all inscribed on the same parchment, according to the model proposed by the Ministry.

The issuance of a Joint Degree, and not national diplomas, testifies to the homogeneity of international curriculum.

This Joint Degree brings a real added value. In the labor market relating to the fields of heritage and culture, saturated in Europe and emerging in Latin America, Africa and Asia, obtaining a diploma issued jointly by these partner universities affirms the European capacity of the Higher Education. This Joint Degree indicates a truly international curriculum, access to high-quality teaching in several countries with different and complementary approaches to thinking and solving heritage issues in the form of an exceptional academic, cultural, linguistic and personal experience. This adds considerable recruitment value for employers who are looking for graduates with heritage training and language skills, an ability to demonstrate mobility and intercultural collaboration, including exchanges and communication.

Diploma supplement

Each student has an opportunity to be awarded a diploma supplement specific to the TPTI Master’s Degree. Based on the Europass Model, it addresses different components and institutions within the program. It specifies if there was a specific path taken by the student and mentions the language of instruction, the title of the thesis, any corresponding fields of training, and mentions of any additional training courses that were followed.
