The Université de Sfax welcomes students to the Département d'Histoire of the Faculté des Lettres et des Sciences Humaines. 

A hub for North-South exchanges, the University of Sfax specialises in promoting the maritime heritage (shipbuilding) of the southern Mediterranean and, more generally, in the study of craft skills that are both alive and threatened. It hosts other international projects in the field of heritage and historical and archaeological studies, including the H2020 project SfaxForward: Cultural heritage in South Tunisia. A twinning project promoting interdisciplinary and participatory sciences for an inclusive society.
